I know, kind of like asking who is your favorite child, but is there a piece that you feel you will ALWAYS own?

For me, I think it is my Sansui 9090. It is pretty much been there from my early days of getting into vintage audio. Like I relayed in the video, a dependable buddy.

I have to admit I have several favorites. Right now, it’s my McIntosh MC2002 power amp fronted by a Carver CT-17 preamp playing through ADS L710 speakers. I also love my McIntosh MC2155 fronted by a C-26. I don’t like my receivers nearly as much. They seem have a much thicker sound than the McIntosh.

For me, it’s either my SX-1250 or Kenwood 650 Supreme. I’d have a hard time getting rid of either though I think I’ll be able to life the Kenwood for longer, so that might be a factor someday.

Welcome aboard! Hopefully you will post some pics of your gear. I would really like to see the Kenwood.

Marantz 2270. Love the warm sound I remember from the 70’s. Couldn’t afford back in the day but finally have one.

Certainly an enviable and classic piece and probably the most sought after of all the Marantz units.

The Nakamichi CA 7 and PA 5 are my main system. I also have an Accuphase E303. I like the Nakamichi for its absolutely precise construction according to Stax, and Accuphase is legendary. In terms of sound, I actually find the Accuphase a little more pleasant, but as a Nakamichi collector and fan, I have to use Nakamichi amplifiers, of course 😉

Nak gear was quite well made during their peak years of a company. I very much enjoyed the time Dean Miller spent with me discussing his years at the company.
