Have you tried to find a replacement NOS transport for the Marantz? I actually have a 8003 and 8004 Marantz units. I should look to see if any NOS transports are available and pick one up if they are cheap enough.
@vintageo I cannot say I recall a CD player with “rack handles”. 🙂
