Being one of the most successful speakers ever, I think everyone should own a pair. They do so many things very well at a low cost of entry. I’ve had many pair of the years, one of my first restorations was actually a VERY early set of Walnut Large Advents. The finish on them was horrid, but they came out looking great!

What type of tube gear do you prefer to use? Monoblocks, receivers, int amps?
For me, I kind of prefer a receiver. Mainly because I enjoy seeing the faceplate more lit up and there were some cool tubes used for aligning the tuner.
At the same time though, I like to use tube amps with solid state preamp to sort of get the best out of tube sound.

Have a favorite piece of Solid State gear?
I know, kind of like asking who is your favorite child, but is there a piece that you feel you will ALWAYS own?
For me, I think it is my Sansui 9090. It is pretty much been there from my early days of getting into vintage audio. Like I relayed in the video, a dependable buddy.

Of all the formats, which do you prefer to use?
– Records, CD, Cassette are the main physical formats
– Anyone use DAT, MiniDisc, 8-track, etc?
– Streaming
Currently, I am records and CDs. Every blue moon I pop in a cassette, but that is only when I put in a cassette deck to test or play around with for a week or two, they are never in place full time.
