  • Well, the $20k Systems videos are getting some good traction. Lots of eye candy, so it seems to draw more clicks. Next one will be focused on speakers, so stay tuned. 🙂

Next up for restoration is a Revox A-77 Mk IV. I’ve completely restored it mechanically and electrically with kits from Nagravox who specialize in Nagra/Revox/Studer. I can’t say enough of Peter Mony@Nagravox as he’s been a big help in my restoration process. I’m determined to learn how to calibrate this deck (and of calibration in general),…

Sony TC-377, once my father’s, fully restored (by me). A surprisingly good performer as entry/mid-level deck of the early 1970s and of the time.

  • Well, I was thinking the low views of the last interview videos were a fluke, but looking at the response to the Dean Miller interview confirms that the vintage audio community is really not at all interested in an interview style format or vintage audio history. I still have several interviews to post, but going forward, I plan to post…

Thanks for going forward with those videos you have in hand, Scott, for the seemingly few of us that have been enjoying them.

All good. I enjoy them, so I am still planning to do them, just not to be released on the weekend. As well, I’m not going to put as much effort into the additional graphics, etc. as that is very time consuming.

        Altec Lansing

Anyone like the old school speakers. Model 19’s were pretty impressive back in the 70’s. Prices are high for 19’s now but are any of their other older speakers worth looking into ?

      • I am working on the next video which will showcase Dean Miller, the former U.S. head of Nakamichi and B & O through the 80’s and 90’s. He had such an incredible career, so stay tuned.

Very much looking forward to this one! The Apt Holman preamp in my system is still quite a good performer to this day, having been fully refurbished. I recall corresponding with Tomlinson via email many years… Read more
