FYI, I just realized the Nakamichi Dragon video I uploaded was the wrong version. Ugh. The first half is correct, but the last half is incorrect and is missing all of the media I planned to include, so I am fixing that now and will upload it later today. Fun, fun.

What is the consensus here on buying vintage CD players? Too risky? Worth the risk? No risk?
Have you tried to find a replacement NOS transport for the Marantz? I actually have a 8003 and 8004 Marantz units. I should look to see if any NOS transports are available and pick one up if they are cheap enough.

If you haven’t seen this channel, he has quite a few great videos on doing some physical restoration, like polishing parts of brushed metal faceplates, etc.. He also makes quite a few very nice wood cabinets.
